New entries on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Friday, October 7, 2022:

October 7, 2022, 10:25 AM, Cody Ray Byers, 24, Bloomfield, Indiana, was arrested on a new preliminary charge of felony domestic battery in the presence of a child less than 16 years old. His bond was set at $4000 surety with 10% cash allowed. Bloomfield Town Marshal Ken Tharp was the arresting officer.

Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Individuals are booked into jail on warrants issued by courts or on “preliminary charges” based on recommendations of investigating or arresting officers. Charges may change when a new case is filed in court by the prosecutor who reviews the case and makes the charging decision.
