New entries on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Wednesday, January 5, 2022:

January 4, 2022, 11:58 a.m. – April Marie Duzan, aka David Duzan, 50, Springville, Ind., was arrested on a warrant issued for failure to appear for her initial hearing on a charge of misdemeanor possession of unprocessed ginseng out of season. Her bond was set at $5,000 surety with ten percent cash allowed.

Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Individuals are booked into jail on warrants issued by courts or on “preliminary charges” based on recommendations of investigating or arresting officers. Charges may change when a new case is filed in court by the prosecutor who reviews the case and makes the charging decision.
