New entries on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Wednesday, March 10, 2021:

March 9, 7:01 p.m. – Charles Robert Walls Jr., 35, Switz City, Ind., was arrested on a warrant issued on preliminary charges of felony battery on a person less than 14 years old, strangulation and neglect of a dependent. His bond was set at $12,000 surety with ten percent cash allowed. He posted $1,200 and was released later the same day. Greene County Sheriff’s Deputy Jordan Allor was the arresting officer.

March 9, 11:21 p.m. – Rhonda Renee Wilkerson, 46, Bloomfield, Ind., was arrested on new preliminary charges of felony possession of methamphetamine and possession of a syringe. She was being held without bond pending court appearance. Indiana State Police Trooper Caleb Garvin was the arresting officer.

March 10, 12:52 a.m. – William Wayne Lacer, 41, Linton, Ind., was arrested on five warrants. One was issued on new preliminary charges of felony battery with serious bodily injury, battery with moderate bodily injury and intimidation; one for failure to appear at a change of plea hearing in a case of misdemeanor harassment; one for failure to appear at an initial hearing on a charge of felony intimidation; one on a petition to revoke bond in a case involving felony battery against a law enforcement officer and possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of paraphernalia, and one on a petition to revoke a suspended sentence on a conviction of felony intimidation. In one case, his bond was set at $18,000 surety with ten percent cash allowed. In another, it’s $5,000 surety with ten percent cash allowed, but in three cases, he’s being held without bond. Linton Police Officer Janzen Franklin was the arresting officer.
