New entries on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Wednesday, August 5, 2020:

August 4, 4:33 p.m. – Nickolas Ryan Smith, 20, Jasonville, Ind., was arrested on a warrant issued on a preliminary charge of felony theft of property valued at $750-$50,000. His bond was set at $4,000 surety with ten percent cash allowed. He posted $400 and was released later the same day.

August 4, 11:43 p.m. – Jesse Wayne Stephens, 55, Lyons, Ind., was arrested on new preliminary charges of felony possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of paraphernalia. He was being held without bond pending court appearance. Greene County Sheriff’s Deputy Alan Jackson was the arresting officer.
