New entries on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Tuesday, June 16, 2020:

June 15, 6:18 p.m. – Ricky Lee Cain, 40, Bloomfield, Ind., was arrested on a warrant issued on a petition to revoke bond in a case involving felony auto theft, possession of a syringe and misdemeanor operating a vehicle without ever obtaining a license. He was being held without bond pending court appearance. Greene County Sheriff’s Deputy Michael Coy was the arresting officer.

Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Individuals are booked into jail on warrants issued by courts or on “preliminary charges” based on recommendations of investigating or arresting officers. Charges may change when a new case is filed in court by the prosecutor who reviews the case and makes the charging decision.
