New entries on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Friday, May 8, 2020:

May 8, 3:37 a.m. – Brittney Jean Daymude, 37, Lyons, Ind., was arrested on new preliminary charges of felony possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia, operating a vehicle while intoxicated and resisting law enforcement. She was being held without bond pending court appearance. Greene County Sheriff’s Sgt. Bobby Pierce was the arresting officer.

Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Individuals are booked into jail on warrants issued by courts or on “preliminary charges” based on recommendations of investigating or arresting officers. Charges may change when a new case is filed in court by the prosecutor who reviews the case and makes the charging decision.
