UPDATED with new development: Greene County Jail Log
/The Jail Log has been UPDATED with a new development: A preliminary charge of felony murder has been added to the preliminary charges against the juvenile listed below and he is now being held without bond.
New entries on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Thursday, March 26, 2020:
March 25, 11:29 a.m. – James Anthony Hester, 47, Bloomington, Ind., was arrested on a warrant issued on a petition to revoke bond in a case involving felony possession of methamphetamine, possession of a syringe, resisting law enforcement, and misdemeanor reckless driving. Hester is also facing charges with a warrant out in Owen County. He was being held without bond.

March 25, 7:39 p.m. – Brandon Adam Christopher Lee Criss, 34, Linton, Ind., was arrested on a new preliminary charge of felony murder. He was being held without bond. Linton Police Sgt. Logan Hobbs was the arresting officer.

March 25, 7:58 p.m. – A 16-year-old male juvenile, who will be 17 in a matter of days, from Linton, Ind., was arrested on a new preliminary charge of felony conspiracy to commit murder and felony murder. His bond, which was initially set at $40,000 surety with ten percent cash allowed has been changed - he is now being held without bond. Linton Police Sgt. Logan Hobbs was the arresting officer. (Editor’s note: This juvenile has been arrested in connection with the investigation into the murder of John Chapman. Although he has been booked into the Greene County Jail, GreeneStreets will err on the side of caution and not post his name or mug shot until a criminal case has been filed in adult court and a waiver or the charges have been approved by a judge.)

March 25, 8:24 p.m. – Brayson Kane Leazenby, 19, Plymouth, Ind., was arrested on new preliminary charges of misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and criminal trespassing. He was being held without bond pending court appearance. Bloomfield Deputy Marshal Wayman JR Blazier was the arresting officer.
