New entries on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Thursday, December 17, 2020:

December 16, 9:46 a.m. – Mark Emmet Dickinson, 40, Switz City, Ind., was arrested on new preliminary charges of felony domestic battery, strangulation and intimidation, and misdemeanor criminal recklessness and confinement. His bond was set at $27,500 surety with ten percent cash allowed. Greene County Sheriff’s Deputy James Carpenter was the arresting officer.

December 16, 3:48 p.m. – Jonathan Kent Quillen, 34, Milford, Ind., was arrested on a warrant issued on a petition to revoke a suspended sentence for a conviction of felony possession of methamphetamine. He was being held without bond.

Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Individuals are booked into jail on warrants issued by courts or on “preliminary charges” based on recommendations of investigating or arresting officers. Charges may change when a new case is filed in court by the prosecutor who reviews the case and makes the charging decision.
