New entries on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Tuesday, August 6, 2019:

August 5, 2:07 p.m. – Carl Dean Retzlaff, 63, Bloomfield, Ind., was arrested on a warrant issued on a preliminary charge of felony intimidation and on two other warrants issued on petitions to revoke suspended sentences in two cases involving misdemeanor domestic batteries and interfering with the reporting of a crime and intimidation. He is being held without bond. Greene County Sheriff’s Deputy Jordan Gooding was the arresting officer.

Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Individuals are booked into jail on warrants issued by courts or on “preliminary charges” based on recommendations of investigating or arresting officers. Charges may change when a new case is filed in court by the prosecutor who reviews the case and makes the charging decision.
