New entries on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Friday, May 24, 2019:

May 23, 10:13 a.m. – Carry Joe Cassidy, 33, Bloomfield, Ind., was arrested on a warrant issued for failure to appear for an initial hearing in a case involving preliminary charges of misdemeanor leaving the scene of an accident with personal injury, resisting law enforcement and criminal mischief. His bond was set at $5,000 surety with ten percent cash allowed. He posted $500 cash and was released later the same day. Greene County Sheriff’s Deputy Heather Wood was the arresting officer.

Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Individuals are booked into jail on warrants issued by courts or on “preliminary charges” based on recommendations of investigating or arresting officers. Charges may change when a new case is filed in court by the prosecutor who reviews the case and makes the charging decision.
