New entries on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Friday, April 5, 2019:

  • April 4, 1:31 p.m. – Megan Larae Damron, 36, Jasonville, Ind., was arrested on a warrant issued on a petition to revoke a suspended sentence in a case involving felony possession of methamphetamine. She was being held without bond. Jasonville Police Officer Ryan Van Horn was the arresting officer.

  • April 4, 8:34 p.m. – John Eugene Middeton, 41, Jasonville, Ind., was arrested on a preliminary charge of felony domestic battery. His bond was set at $4,000 surety with ten percent cash allowed. Jasonville Police Officer Dustin Cain was the arresting officer.

  • April 4, 10:20 p.m. – Heather Marie Stephens, 44, Linton, Ind., was arrested on preliminary charges of felony possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of marijuana, and on warrants issued out of Johnson County. She was being held without bond. Greene County Sheriff’s Deputy David Elmore was the arresting officer.

Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Individuals are booked into jail on warrants issued by courts or on “preliminary charges” based on recommendations of investigating or arresting officers. Charges may change when a new case is filed in court by the prosecutor who reviews the case and makes the charging decision.
