New entries on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Tuesday, December 3, 2019:

December 3, 8:40 a.m. – Abigail Elizabeth Mead, 22, Bloomington, Ind., was arrested on a warrant issued for failure to appear at an initial hearing on preliminary charges of misdemeanor contributing to the delinquency of a minor and furnishing alcohol to a minor. Her bond was set at $5,000 surety with ten percent cash allowed. Greene County Sheriff’s Deputy Harvey Holt was the arresting officer.

Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Individuals are booked into jail on warrants issued by courts or on “preliminary charges” based on recommendations of investigating or arresting officers. Charges may change when a new case is filed in court by the prosecutor who reviews the case and makes the charging decision.
