New entries on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department:

  • August 28 – Maranda Denise Burch, 30, Bloomfield, Ind., was arrested on a warrant issued for failure to appear at an initial hearing on a preliminary charge of misdemeanor disorderly conduct. Her bond was set at $5,000 surety with ten percent allowed. Greene County Jail Officer Darren McDonald was the arresting officer.
  • August 29 – Thane Logan Mann, 20, Bloomington, Ind., was arrested on preliminary charges of misdemeanor operating a vehicle while intoxicated with an alcohol concentration equivalent to at least .08 but less than .15, possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia and minor possession of alcohol. His bond was set at $5,500 surety with ten percent allowed. Indiana State Police Trooper Caleb Garvin was the arresting officer.
  • August 29 – Jennifer Rose Baker, 35, Bloomfield, Ind., was arrested on preliminary charges of misdemeanor resisting law enforcement, failure to comply with an order, unauthorized entry of a vehicle and public intoxication. Her bond was set at $3,000 surety with ten percent allowed. Greene County Sheriff’s Deputy Alan Jackson was the arresting officer.

Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Individuals are booked into jail on warrants issued by courts or on “preliminary charges” based on recommendations of investigating or arresting officers. Charges may change when a new case is filed in court by the prosecutor who reviews the case and makes the charging decision.
