New entries on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department:

  • August 23 – Jeri Sue Henico, 39, Linton, Ind., was arrested on a preliminary charge of felony sexual misconduct with a minor. Her bond was set at $75,000 surety with ten percent cash allowed. Linton Police Det. Paul Clark was the arresting officer.
  • August 23 – Matthew David Russell, 34, Linton, Ind., was arrested on a Writ of Attachment. His bond was set at $3,000 cash only. Greene County Sheriff’s Deputy Alan Jackson was the arresting officer.
  • August 23 – Yvette R. Sheffer, 56, Solsberry, Ind., was arrested on a preliminary charge of misdemeanor operating a vehicle while intoxicated. Her bond was set at $4,000 surety with ten percent cash allowed. Bloomfield Deputy Marshal Marvin Holt was the arresting officer.

Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Individuals are booked into jail on warrants issued by courts or on “preliminary charges” based on recommendations of investigating or arresting officers. Charges may change when a new case is filed in court by the prosecutor who reviews the case and makes the charging decision.
