New arrests on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department:
- June 1 – Gregory Payton, 27, Terre Haute, Ind., was arrested on a warrant on a preliminary charge of misdemeanor operating a vehicle while intoxicated. His bond was set at $5,000 surety with ten percent allowed. Greene County Jail Officer Darren McDonald was the arresting officer.
- June 2 – Jared Daniel Dorsey, 20, Solsberry, Ind., was arrested on a warrant issued on a petition to revoke probation in a case involving misdemeanor invasion of privacy. He was being held without bond. Greene County Sheriff’s Deputy Zachary Goad was the arresting officer.
- June 3 – Brayden Matthew Allen, 18, Linton, Ind., was arrested on a preliminary charge of misdemeanor operating a vehicle while intoxicated. His bond was set at $4,000 surety with ten percent allowed. He posted bond and was released later the same day. Linton Police Officer Orry Phipps was the arresting officer.
June 3 – Jerad D. Rose Sr., 47, Jasonville, Ind., was arrested on a warrant issued on a petition to revoke a suspended sentence in a case involving misdemeanor leaving the scene of an accident that involved personal injury. He was being held without bond. Jasonville Police Sgt. Brian Pilant was the arresting officer.
Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Individuals are booked into jail on warrants issued by courts or on “preliminary charges” based on recommendations of investigating or arresting officers. Charges may change when a new case is filed in court by the prosecutor who reviews the case and makes the charging decision.
