New arrests on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department:

  • March 27 – Roger Jarren Hammer, 22, Springville, Ind., was arrested on a warrant issued on a petition to revoke a suspended sentence in a case involving misdemeanor operating a vehicle while intoxicated. He was being held without bond. Greene County Jail Officer Darren McDonald was the arresting officer.
  • March 27 – Tiffany Jo Michael, 32, Solsberry, Ind., was arrested on a warrant issued on a petition to revoke bond in a case involving felony escape. She was being held without bond. Greene County Sheriff’s Deputy Harvey Holt was the arresting officer.
  • March 27 – Clarence T. Philpot, 37, Seymour, Ind., was arrested on a warrant issued for failure to appear in a case involving misdemeanor disorderly conduct. His bond was set at $5,000 surety with ten percent allowed. Greene County Sheriff’s Deputy Harvey Holt was the arresting officer.
  • March 27 – Seth Duane Waskom, 43, Switz City, Ind., was arrested on a warrant issued on preliminary charges of felony criminal recklessness and resisting law enforcement and misdemeanor criminal recklessness. His bond was set at $8,500 surety with ten percent allowed. Greene County Sheriff’s Deputy Harvey Holt was the arresting officer.

Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Individuals are booked into jail on warrants issued by courts or on “preliminary charges” based on recommendations of investigating or arresting officers. Charges may change when a new case is filed in court by the prosecutor who reviews the case and makes the charging decision.
