New entries on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Wednesday, December 19, 2018:

  • December 18, 10:36 p.m. – Christopher Allen Roberts, 29, Carlisle, Ind., was arrested on a preliminary charge of felony possession of methamphetamine. He was being held without bond. Jasonville Assistant Chief Ryan Van Horn was the arresting officer.

Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Individuals are booked into jail on warrants issued by courts or on “preliminary charges” based on recommendations of investigating or arresting officers. Charges may change when a new case is filed in court by the prosecutor who reviews the case and makes the charging decision.
