The Activity Log at the Linton Police Department from 7 a.m., Wednesday, May 30 through 7 a.m., Thursday, May 31, 2018, included response to 17 calls and incidents including:

  • Criminal mischief involving a mailbox – 1
  • Extra patrol – 2
  • Fight in progress – 1
  • Complaint about a juvenile – 1
  • Reckless driver – 1
  • Report of suspicious activity – 2
  • Title check – 1
  • Traffic stop – 5
  • Welfare check - 1

Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Individuals are booked into jail on warrants issued by courts or on “preliminary charges” based on recommendations of investigating or arresting officers.
