The Activity Log at the Linton Police Department for Tuesday, May 15 at 7 a.m. through Wednesday, May 16 at 7 a.m. included response to 23 calls and incidents including:

  • Complaint about animals – 1
  • Assist to other department – 2
  • Domestic dispute – 1
  • Extra patrol – 1
  • Fingerprinting – 3
  • Special detail or presentation – 2
  • Report of suspicious activity – 1
  • Traffic stop – 11
  • Trespassing - 1

Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Individuals are booked into jail on warrants issued by courts or on “preliminary charges” based on recommendations of investigating or arresting officers. Charges may change when a new case is filed in court by the prosecutor who reviews the case and makes the charging decision.
