Greene County Jail inmate found unresponsive

Jack Farmer, 43 of Bloomington, an inmate at the Greene County Jail, was found by jail staff in an unresponsive state on July 23.

According to a press release issued July 28 from the Greene County Sheriff’s Department, jail staff initiated CPR and requested an ambulance. Farmer was transported by ambulance to Greene County General Hospital for treatment and subsequently transferred to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville for further treatment.

The Greene County Sheriff’s Department requested an independent investigation from the Indiana State Police. That investigation is ongoing and no further information will be released at this time.

Farmer was being held in Greene County Jail on burglary charges.
