Woman called police and said someone was on her roof
A Linton woman who called police in the wee hours of the morning about someone being on her roof, ended up in the Greene County Jail around 3:00 AM on drug charges.
Kelly Irene Wilson, 39, Linton, was arrested by Officer Janzen Franklin of the Linton Police Department early last Thursday, September 8.
LPD officers responded early last Thursday when Kelly Wilson called and said someone was on her roof. When the officers arrived, she said she heard people outside her residence.
Officer Franklin, the investigating officer, talked with Wilson and asked if officers could search her residence. She waived her rights and said they could search.
Officer Franklin reported he found marijuana in her bedroom in a black ashtray and Officer Cayden Walker found a clear glass smoking device containing a white residue that field-tested positive as methamphetamine. It was located on top of the bathroom medicine cabinet. Officer Franklin then found a paper towel and tin foil containing a white and brown substance that field tested positive for methamphetamine. It was located behind a sign in the bathroom.
When Wilson was detained in handcuffs, she allegedly said the items in the bathroom were not hers and she didn't know there was marijuana in the bedroom.
Wilson was transported and booked into the Greene County Jail at 3:12 AM. She was being held without bond pending court appearance.
In a criminal case filed against Wilson on Monday in Greene Superior Court, she is being charged with:
Possession of methamphetamine, a Level 6 felony,
Possession of marijuana, a Class B misdemeanor, and
Possession of paraphernalia, a Class C misdemeanor.
