Woman, accused of child seduction, arrested, bonded, scheduled to appear in court
A warrant was issued Friday for the arrest of a Bloomfield woman who served during the past year as a cheerleading coach for Bloomfield Schools and also worked as a full-time substitute teacher for Linton-Stockton Schools. The warrant was served the same day.
Morgan Mackenzie Judy, 23, was arrested by Greene County Sheriff’s Deputy David Elmore and booked in to the Greene County Jail around 5 p.m. Friday.
Judy, 23, is accused of inappropriate sexual behavior with a 17-year-old male Bloomfield student in a case that was investigated by Indiana State Police Detective Brad Stille.
The criminal case against Judy was filed in Greene Circuit Court by Greene County Prosecutor Jarrod Holtsclaw.
Judy’s bond was set at $14,000 surety with ten percent cash allowed. She posted $1,400 cash and was released later the same day.
Judy is now scheduled to appear for her initial hearing before Judge Erik Allen in Greene Circuit Court at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 28.
When she appears, she will be formally charged with two counts:
- Child seduction – a child care worker in sexual intercourse or other sexual conduct with a child 16-17 years old, a Level 5 felony, and
- Child seduction – a child care worker engages in fondling or touching with a child 16-17 years old, a Level 6 felony.
