Tiffany Lee Lester, 22, and Aspen Joseph Taylor, 27, both from Linton, were arrested by Officer Cayden Walker of the Linton Police Department early Wednesday, November 17.

Lester was the driver of a dark blue Mitsubishi Eclipse that was stopped by Officer Walker for failing to use a turn signal and a license plate light that wasn’t working. Taylor was a passenger.

The traffic stop occurred around 12:50 a.m. in the area of the intersection of E Street NW and 2nd Street NW in Linton.

During the stop, the officer reported smelling the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle and when LPD Officers Bobby Pierce and Alan Jackson arrived on scene to assist, the vehicle was searched.

Officer Walker reported that during the search, officers found multiple items of paraphernalia as well as a container containing a brown wax substance and a clear plastic bag containing a green plant material.

Both Lester and Taylor were transported and booked into the Greene County Jail around 2 a.m. In both cases, their bond was set at $1,000 surety with ten percent cash allowed. They have both since posted $100 and been released from custody.

Both are facing charges of:

  • Possession of marijuana, a Class B misdemeanor and

  • Possession of paraphernalia, a Class C misdemeanor.

They are both scheduled to appear in Greene Superior Court for their initial hearings on November 29.
