A Bloomfield woman was pronounced deceased on the scene of a one-vehicle crash on Furnace Road east of Bloomfield on Tuesday morning, March 10.

Detective Sgt. Shawn Cullison of the Greene County Sheriff’s Department reported the crash occurred around 8:20 a.m. Tuesday.

Kristen Laue, 36, Bloomfield, was the driver of a 2007 Hyundai SUV eastbound on Furnace Road, just east of Bloomfield.

Det. Sgt. Cullison said the SUV ran off the south side of the road, hit a utility pole and then overturned and came to rest on its roof.

Laue was pronounced dead on the scene.

In addition to the Greene County Sheriff’s Department, personnel responded to assist on the scene from the Greene County Ambulance Service, Indiana State Police, Richland Township Fire Department and the Bloomfield Fire Department.
