A Bloomfield man doing a little bow fishing on property that belonged to the Town of Bloomfield was arrested on a charge of possession of marijuana.

Bradon Jacob Fulk, 27, Bloomfield, was arrested by Deputy Marshal Wayman JR Blazier of the Bloomfield Police Department on Sunday afternoon, September 20. Fulk was booked into the Greene County Jail at 4:25 p.m. His bond was set at $500 surety with ten percent cash allowed. He posted $50 and was released later the same day.

Officer Blazier was dispatched to property owned by the Town of Bloomfield where Fulk was reported to be trespassing. Deputies Jordan Allor and Michael Stanley of the Greene County Sheriff’s Department were already on the scene.

The sheriff’s department was first contacted by a couple who have permission from the town to use a roadway that leads to their property but when they arrived at the gate to the town property, someone had lifted the locked gate off the hinge.

Fulk was located bow fishing along a river bank on the town property and when Officer Blazier arrived on the scene, Fulk was standing near a gray Honda passenger car.

Fulk said he was just doing some bow fishing and that he did not have permission from the town but a friend told him he could go back there to fish. Officer Blazier reported Fulk’s eyes were bloodshot and glassy. Fulk said he had not been drinking but allegedly admitted he had smoked marijuana and that it was on the dash of the car.

Officer Blazier retrieved a red plastic container from the dash and found it contained a green plant material, a grinder and a pipe with burnt residue. The material field-tested positive as marijuana.

Fulk was given notice not to trespass on the property and transported to jail.

Fulk is facing preliminary charges of possession of marijuana, a Class B misdemeanor, and possession of paraphernalia, a Class C misdemeanor.
