Your vote is your voice—but you must be registered before you can use it. Today, Sept. 15, is a good opportunity to register, confirm your voter status or update your information if you have moved or changed your name.

To register to vote in Indiana, you must:

Be a U.S. citizen and an Indiana resident
Be at least 18 on or before the next general election
Have lived in your precinct for at least 30 days before the election
Not currently be imprisoned following a criminal conviction
Be registered by the deadline

Indiana’s voter registration deadline for the Nov. 3 general election is Monday, Oct. 5.

Online registration requires a valid Indiana driver’s license or state-issued identification card. Registration also is available by mail or in person.
