Theft suspect summoned to court

A suspect accused of grabbing a drink from a cooler as he walked into a store, stashing a pair of earbuds into his pocket then walking out without paying for them is being summoned to appear in court on a charge of theft.

Isaac Tylor Dewayne Bradbury

Isaac Tylor Dewayne Bradbury, 27, Dugger, is being summoned to appear in court for an initial hearing on a charge of theft, a Class A misdemeanor, following an investigation by Officer Davis Aerne of the Linton Police Department into an incident that occurred on June 18.

Officer Aerni responded to the Walmart store in Linton around 3:25 PM on June 26 after one of the store’s asset protection associates reported a theft was observed while reviewing video surveillance footage.

In the video, Bradbury came into the store through the grocery doors and selected a Mountain Dew Baja Blast from the cooler next to the grocery self-checkout. Then he went to the electronics selection where he picked out a pair of bluetooth earbuds and proceeded to the hardware area where he allegedly concealed the earbuds in a pocket. Bradbury then left the store through the grocery side doors, making no effort to pay for the items with a total value of $21.96.

A criminal case was filed against Bradbury last Friday and a summons has been issued ordering him to appear in court on August 22.
