Linton man sentenced to one year in the county jail

A Linton man, arrested in late January for allegedly trying to destroy evidence and struggling with an officer when he was taken into custody on drug charges, appeared in court last week, changed his plea to guilty and was sentenced.

When the probation department requested an officer search the home of a man on probation for a meth conviction, the man allegedly crushed a glass pipe in his hand and threw it into the toilet, then struggled with the officer, trying to avoid being handcuffed…….. Case Update: When Erik Tosti appeared in Greene Superior Court via two-way video between the jail and the courtroom for an initial hearing on Monday morning, February 1, his bond was set at $30,000 cash in full with no 10 percent allowed. Defense Attorney Tim Shonk was appointed to represent him as a public defender. As of late Tuesday, Tosti had not yet posted bond.
