Suspected meth dealer arrested this week, bond set at $80,000
Two individuals suspected of being co-conspirators in dealing quantities of methamphetamine are both in jail. One was arrested by an LPD officer on Monday, August 10. The other was taken into custody by the Linton Police Chief this past Monday morning, August 17.
The arrests came after a weeks-long investigation by officers of the Greene County Drug Task Force and an investigator from the Greene County Prosecutor’s Office.
Kristy Lynn Humphery, 40, Linton, was arrested by Officer Adam King of the Linton Police Department on Monday night, August 10. She was taken into custody on a warrant that was issued for her arrest earlier in the day. She’s since been charged with several felonies in two criminal cases and is being held in lieu of $100,000 total bond with ten percent cash allowed.
Dwayne Faidherbe, 57, Linton, was arrested by Linton Police Chief Paul Clark on Monday morning, August 17. Faidherbe was also taken into custody on a warrant and has since been charged with a Level 2 felony and is being held in lieu of a bond of $80,000 surety with ten percent cash allowed.
Humphery and Faidherbe have been under investigation by officers and investigators with the Greene County Drug Task Force and the Greene County Prosecutor’s Office since at least sometime in June for suspected drug dealing.
They are accused of selling quantities of methamphetamine and controlled substances out of their residence on NE 10th Street in Linton and also utilizing a motel room at the Park Inn in Linton.
According to probable cause affidavits, officers have evidence of transactions with more than one individual that have occurred dating back to June involving both meth and oxycodone, a Schedule II controlled substance.
After a criminal case was filed against Humphery on Monday, August 10, in Greene Superior Court, a warrant was issued for her arrest and the case was placed under seal – not available as a public record until after the arrest. After Humphery was in custody, the seal was lifted.
With the warrant in hand, officers arrived at the Park Inn and went to Humphery and Faidherbe’s room to execute the warrant. They knocked and announced themselves but there was no answer. They gained entry and found Humphery and Faidherbe inside.
During the arrest, they saw a clear plastic container sitting in plain view on an end table with a white crystal-like substance inside. Also in plain view, they saw a plate with a white powder residue and a lock box.
Humphery was transported to the Greene County Jail and booked in at 9:35 p.m. Faidherbe was not arrested at that time.
The room was secured along with two vehicles in the parking area that belonged to Humphery. Based on what they saw in the room, a search warrant for the room and the vehicles was approved.
Officers then executed the search warrant and reported the substance inside the container field-tested positive as methamphetamine. In addition, they found numerous items of paraphernalia, packaging materials, bottles of prescription pills with various names, digital scales and another quantity of methamphetamine. The exact amount of methamphetamine seized is unknown but officers said was in excess of 10 grams. They also found cash including $4,294 cash inside Humphery’s purse.
According to one affidavit, officers believe that Humphery and Faidherbe were co-conspirators in the dealing of methamphetamine. After a criminal case was filed against Faidherbe, his case was also placed under seal until after he was in custody.
Humphery was initially held without bond pending court appearance.
On Tuesday, August 11, Humphery was in Greene Superior Court at 1:30 p.m. for her initial hearing. She was charged with:

On that same Tuesday, another criminal case was filed against Humphery based on what was found in the room when the search warrant was executed. Another warrant was issued for her arrest and it was read to her in jail on Wednesday.
On Thursday, August 13, Humphery was back in Superior Court for another initial hearing at 2 p.m. In this second case, she was charged with:

Her bond in the second case was also set at $50,000 surety with ten percent cash allowed, making the total amount of her bonds $100,000 with ten percent allowed.
Faidherbe was booked into the Greene County Jail around 11:50 a.m. last Monday. He was initially held without bond pending his court appearance.
When he appeared in Greene Superior Court on Tuesday, August 18, he was charged with dealing in methamphetamine in an amount of 10 grams or more, a Level 2 felony, and the judge set his bond at $80,000 surety with ten percent cash allowed. Faidherbe has previous drug-related convictions and the state has filed an intention to seek a sentence enhancement for an habitual offender.
