As severe weather is expected to impact the area today, Greene County residents are encouraged to sign up for the county’s new Reverse 911 emergency alert system, which provides timely notifications during critical situations. The system will alert registered users when the National Weather Service issues tornado warnings for Greene County, as well as during hazardous material incidents, school emergencies, and other public safety events.
