Statewide COVID-19 stats on July 26; Greene County reported 15 new cases last week
/When the Indiana Department of Health announced the updated statewide COVID-19 stats on Sunday, July 26, the data showed Greene County with a total of 222 confirmed cases and 34 deaths reported to the state, with a total of 2,992 tested and a positivity rate of 7.4 percent. Since stats were last posted on GreeneStreets one week ago, Greene County shows an increase of 15 confirmed cases, one more death and 421 more tested in the past week. Of those tested, some results may not yet be received or reported and included in the data. The new statewide counts are released once a day.
HEALTH DEPARTMENT UPDATES STATEWIDE COVID-19 CASE COUNTS
INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) today announced that 860 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19 through testing at ISDH, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and private laboratories. That brings to 62,372 the total number of Indiana residents known to have the novel coronavirus following corrections to the previous day’s dashboard.
A total of 2,706 Hoosiers are confirmed to have died from COVID-19, an increase of eight over the previous day. Another 197 probable deaths have been reported based on clinical diagnoses in patients for whom no positive test is on record. Deaths are reported based on when data are received by ISDH and occurred over multiple days.
To date, 701,311 tests have been reported to ISDH, up from 690,274 on Saturday.
