Sheriff's Department investigating missing persons

Police are investigating the disappearance of a Lyons woman and her son, who have been reported missing.

Samantha Jerrell was last heard from on Oct. 13 reportedly stating she and her son, Colton, were headed to French Lick but never arrived.

The Greene County Sheriff’s Department is leading the investigation but has not released an official statement at this time; however, police presence related to the investigation has been reported near Bear Run Mine in Sullivan County.
