Update: 4:16 p.m. July 28 The driver of the vehicle has been identified as Brenten. No other information is being released.

A motorcycle accident around 11 p.m. July 27 on East State Road 445 near the Interstate 69 ramp resulted in the death of a 25-year-old Bedford man. 

Greene County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Camron Frye was called to East State Road 445 after a report of a single vehicle accident near the ramp to I-69. According to the accident report, the driver—whose name is not being released at this time—was traveling east toward I-69 when the motorcycle left the roadway for an unknown reason and came to rest on the southwest side of State Road 445 and the interstate ramps. 

The driver was transported to a Bloomington hospital and according to the accident report later pronounced dead. 

The accident is being investigated by the Greene County Sheriff’s Department and the Indiana State Police Reconstructionists.

Frye was assisted at the scene by Indiana State Police, Greene County Ambulance Service, Eastern Greene Fire Territory, and Monroe Fire Protection District.
