Kimberly Sue Dennis, 51, Solsberry, was booked into the Greene County Jail last Friday, September 17, around 3 p.m. She’s being held without bond pending court appearance.

Timothy Dale Patton, 60, Heltonville, was arrested by Detective David Elmore of the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Wednesday, August 11. At that same time, Dennis was taken into custody on a warrant and was transported to jail in another county.

Det. Elmore, the investigating officer in both cases, was on scene early that morning at a residence on Richland Lane, Solsberry, to assist GCSD Deputy Davis Aerne and Deputy Harvey Holt who were investigating a report of trespassing.

While there, Deputy Aerne pointed out a broken glass smoking device on the kitchen island. After the two deputies left with Dennis in custody, Det. Elmore obtained consent to search the residence from Timothy Patton who was residing there.

Det. Elmore reported finding items of paraphernalia including glass smoking devices, baggies and cut-down straws. Several of the items field-tested positive for the presence of methamphetamine.

Patton was taken into custody and booked into the Greene County Jail at 11 a.m.

During his initial hearing in Greene Superior Court, he was charged with:

  • Possession of methamphetamine, a Level 6 felony,

  • Maintaining a common nuisance – controlled substances, a Level 6 felony, and

  • Possession of paraphernalia, a Class C misdemeanor.

Patton’s bond was set at $10,000 surety with ten percent cash allowed. Patton later asked to be released on his own recognizance or for his bond to be reduced, but the motion was denied. As of today, Monday, September 20, Patton is still in custody.

A court date for Dennis is not known but she’s facing charges of:

  • Possession of methamphetamine, a Level 6 felony, and

  • Possession of paraphernalia, a Class C misdemeanor.
