A rural Bloomfield woman is accused of breaking into a cabin and knocking holes in a wall. She allegedly told a deputy she thought someone was inside the wall.

Jaime Dawn Robinson, 37, Bloomfield, was arrested by Detective David Elmore of the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Thursday, February 25.

At 1:21 p.m. yesterday, Thursday, February 25, deputies responded to an alarm activated at a cabin/residence on South Walnut Grove Road, rural Bloomfield.

When Deputy Terry Wade first arrived in the area, he saw a woman walking on Walnut Grove Road. She was carrying what looked like a blanket, was walking with two Great Dane dogs, and was later identified as Jaime Robinson, a neighbor who lived across the road from the cabin.

When Deputy Wade then arrived at the cabin, the front door was open and a window was broken out.

Detectives Elmore and Shawn Cullison then arrived on the scene and they announced themselves several times through the open door before entering to check for an intruder. Nobody was there. The cabin was secured. The deputies noticed there were blankets sitting out on the front porch.

The detectives then located Robinson with her dogs, walking down a path toward a woods. Her right hand was bleeding and she was carrying a pink backpack and a pink coat.

Robinson allegedly told the detectives that she broke the window of the cabin and went in to look for her son. Det. Cullison asked her why she put holes in the drywall. She allegedly replied that she thought her son was inside the walls of the cabin.

Robinson was taken into custody but was first transported back to her residence on South Walnut Grove Road to talk to her ex-husband and to return the dogs.

Det. Elmore reported that during a search of Robinson’s backpack, he found a pink ziplock style bag with a crystal substance inside. Robinson allegedly said it was methamphetamine and it did field-test positive as methamphetamine. Other items of paraphernalia were located in the backpack.

At the residence, Robinson said her bedroom was downstairs and that her ex-husband would have methamphetamine on him or in the house. When the detectives talked to the ex-husband, he said Robinson had meth pipes in her bedroom.

At 4:15 p.m., Robinson was booked into the Greene County Jail where she was being held without bond pending court appearance.

Late today, a criminal case was filed against Robinson in Greene Circuit Court. When she appears in court for her initial hearing, she will be formally charged with:

• Possession of methamphetamine, a Level 5 felony,

• Unlawful possession of syringe, a Level 6 felony,

• Possession of marijuana, a Class B misdemeanor,

• Criminal mischief, a Class B misdemeanor, and

• Residential entry – breaking and entering a dwelling, a Level 6 felony.

In the ongoing investigation, Det. Elmore requested a search warrant for the Robinson residence which was granted around 6 p.m. yesterday by Greene Superior Court Judge Dena Martin.

Det. Elmore reported that when the search was executed, multiple firearms were located in the residence, including one in Robinson’s bedroom where they also found multiple used syringes, some with what appeared to have blood inside, and multiple glass smoking devices. In the living room, they found a loaded firearm and digital scales. In the garage, they found a bag of plant material believed to be marijuana.

At least one other arrest connected with this investigation was made yesterday - Robinson’s ex-husband, Anthony Paul Robinson, 37, Bloomfield. He was booked into the Greene County Jail at 9:54 p.m. and was also being held without bond pending court appearance. As of late Friday, charges connected to his arrest had not yet been filed.
