Richland Fire Department treasurer arrested by Bloomfield Town Marshal
Jamie Sherer, 34, Bloomfield, the Secretary-Treasurer of the Richland Fire Department is accused of theft after the department’s board president discovered over $4,000 was missing from department funds.
Sherer was arrested by Bloomfield Town Marshal Ken Tharp yesterday afternoon, Wednesday, August 29, and booked into the Greene County Jail where her bond was set at $4,000 surety with ten percent cash allowed.
Sherer posted $400 cash and was released the same day.
Sherer is now scheduled to appear in Greene Superior Court for an initial hearing on Monday afternoon, September 10, to be charged with theft – where the value of the property is between $750 and $50,000, a Level 6 felony.
