Railroad repair scheduled for State Road 157 in Worthington

GREENE COUNTY, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces a railroad crossing repair in Worthington for State Road 157.

Beginning on or around Monday Nov. 4, contractors for the railroad company will close the railroad crossing between Williams Street and U.S. 231/S.R. 67. The operation will completely replace the crossing. INDOT crews will provide traffic control and the work will be done under complete closure.

Work is expected to last for about three days depending upon weather conditions. While the closure is in place, the official detour will use U.S. 231/S.R. 67, S.R. 57, S.R. 14 and S.R. 157. Local residents will have access up to the point of closure. All other traffic should use the official detour.

INDOT urges drivers to slow down and stay alert near crews.
