One woman facing a misdemeanor charge after altercation with another woman

When LPD officers responded to a treatment center in Linton last week, one woman was arrested for allegedly forcing another woman up against a wall during an altercation.

Dosha Snow Elliott

Dosha Snow Elliott, 22 Rensselaer, was arrested by Sergeant Bobby Pierce of the Linton Police Department on Monday night, May 2nd.

Sergeant Pierce responded to the Hickory Treatment Center in Linton that Monday night, along with LPD Officer Alan Jackson, on the report that two women had been in a physical altercation but had been separated.

One woman told the officers that Elliott had confronted her about talking about her (Elliott). She said Elliott pushed her up against the wall and was in her face calling her a name. The woman said she shoved Elliott off of her to get away and at that time other people came and separated the two women.

According to Sergeant Pierce, when they spoke with Elliott, she admitted that she backed the other woman up against the wall and that she was mad at the other woman because she was told she was talking bad about her. Elliott allegedly said she never put her hands on the woman but just backed her up against the wall with her chest.

Elliott was taken into custody and transported to the Greene County Jail where she was booked in at 8:18 PM with bond set at $500 surety with 10% cash allowed. She has since posted $50 and been released.

Elliott is scheduled to appear at an initial hearing in Greene Superior Court on May 16 to face a charge of battery, a Class B misdemeanor.
