Mom Prom 2021 canceled for safety reasons

The Greene County Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) has made the decision to cancel this year’s popular Mom Prom event for safety reasons, but keep an eye out for the event’s silent auction to proceed online.

“We are saddened to announce that Mom Prom – 2021 has been cancelled. We feel at this time it would be unsafe to have this event and place all of our participants and donors at risk,” reads the announcement from SART.

“We do appreciate your continued support of the SART Team and the SANE program. If you would like to use your ticket which you have purchased as a donation – we would appreciate this – however, if you would like to receive a refund – please reach out to the SART member who sold you your ticket.

“We are hoping to have a silent auction within the upcoming weeks with the items which we have received for the prom – please consider making a bid. This will be posted on Facebook.

“We appreciate your understanding and continued support. Thank you.”

Anyone who would like to contribute an item for the silent auction or make a donation can get in touch with the Greene County Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) by contacting Victim Advocate Vickie Aydt at the Greene County Prosecutor’s Office, 812-384-4998.
