Mobile Food Pantry, free health screenings set for Monday at Humphreys Park
/Residents in need of food assistance and free health services are invited to attend this month's Mobile Food Pantry on Monday, Aug. 17, at Humphreys Park in Linton.
The drive-thru food distribution will begin at 10:30 a.m. and continue while supplies last.
In addition to food distribution, Hoosier Health Checks will offer free health screenings inside the West Shelter House, including blood pressure checks, A1c testing, cholesterol testing and food and health education.
Tandem will also be on site providing free car seat checks and distributing diapers while supplies last.
The Mobile Food Pantry is made possible through partnerships with Terre Haute Catholic Charities Foodbank, Feeding America, Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel, Empowering With Passion Consulting, Indiana University Bloomington's Center for Community-Engaged Dissemination and Implementation Research, the City of Linton, Indiana University Health, Walmart, French Financial Insurance + Realty, Stockton Township Trustee Donna Smith, Posh & Polished by Katie and other local organizations.
