The Greene County Sheriff’s Department is looking for a couple of people who want to serve the citizens of Greene County in the position of merit deputies. 

Applications are being accepted now through Aug. 23.  

Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent, possess a valid Indiana driver’s license with a demonstrated safe driving record, and have a clean criminal record. Applicants must be at least 21 years old and able to successfully complete physical agility training. The position, which has a base salary is $60,041, offers paid time off, retirement, health insurance, paid training, and take home car.
