A 24-year-old man, allegedly intoxicated and upset over WiFi issues and having his keys taken away, is facing two counts of domestic battery.

Aaron Matthew Nunn was arrested early Friday by Greene County Sheriff’s Deputy Zachary Goad.

Deputy Goad was dispatched around 11 p.m. Thursday to a residence in the Solsberry area after dispatch received a call about Nunn becoming aggressive in a domestic situation. A verbal disagreement had turned into a physical altercation.

The court record and the jail record show Nunn with a home address in Martinsville, but he told the deputy he had been staying with family at the Greene County residence for three or four weeks.

Two family members were going to sleep when Nunn became irritated and allegedly complained about a WiFi issue, which they could not do anything about. One of them got up and grabbed his keys that were on a table. They told the deputy they did not want him to drink and drive.

When Goad talked to the two family members who lived in the home, they both told basically the same story, that Nunn had gotten physical with them both, grabbing, pushing, twisting a wrist, taking some swings. One swung back and Nunn was pushed out of the house until the officer arrived.

When Goad did arrive, he found Nunn sitting on the front porch. He allegedly said he had drank four “shots” and that he had been punched him about ten times.

A probable cause affidavit prepared by Deputy Goad includes more details about the incident and allegations, but after speaking with all who were there, Goad took Nunn to jail.

Nunn’s bond was set at $2,000 surety with ten percent cash allowed. He has since posted $200 cash, been released and given a court date for an initial hearing on Thursday morning, July 26, when he will be charged with two counts of domestic battery, both Class A misdemeanors.
