Man recovered from private pond in Sullivan County

Dugger, IN- Indiana Conservation Officers responded to a call about an unresponsive male who was found in the water.  Michael Reynolds, 69, of Dugger, was recovered from the water and later pronounced dead at the scene.
 
The incident took place around 5:30 p.m. this afternoon on private property when witnesses observed Mr. Reynolds floating with his face in the water.  CPR breathing was initiated and continued until after first responder’s arrival.
 
Witnesses reported Mr. Reynolds had gone to the dock at the private pond to feed the fish, and they started to search for him when he did not return.  Mr. Reynolds did have an extensive medical history.
 
 Indiana Conservation Officers are currently investigating the incident, and an autopsy is being completed June 7, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Regional Hospital in Terre Haute.
 
Sullivan County Sheriff’s Department, Scat One Ambulance Service, and Union Township Fire Department all assisted at the scene.
