Lyons woman, accused of impaired driving, arrested by trooper
A Lyons woman appeared in Greene Superior Court Monday and was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated endangering a person, a Class A misdemeanor, and operating a vehicle while intoxicated, a Class C misdemeanor.
Starla K. Kendall, 45, was arrested and booked into the Greene County Jail by Indiana State Police Trooper Richard Klun early Monday, June 26, following a traffic stop late Sunday, June 25.
Kendall was operating a gray 2006 Dodge Charger in the area of State Road 54 and 59, north of C Street NW in Linton when she was pulled over.
In his report, Klun indicated Kendall exhibited signs of impairment and failed three out of four standard field sobriety tests.
She allegedly admitted that she had consumed controlled substances.
Kendall was transported to Greene County General Hospital for a blood draw – test results are pending.
Her bond was set at $4,000 surety with ten percent allowed. She was released later the same day after posting $400 cash.
Her driving privileges have been suspended.
During her hearing, a public defender was appointed to represent her.
