LPD asks for help to identify suspect in Saturday night armed robbery
/The Linton Police Department has released a photo of the suspect in the armed robbery of the west side Country Porch gas station in Linton last Saturday night, February 22.
The masked assailant entered the store a little after 10 p.m., displayed a firearm and threatened the cashier. The robber demanded the cashier provide money from the register. The robber then left the store and fled the scene.
LPD officers were dispatched and the investigation began to process and analyze the physical evidence recovered from the scene and conduct interviews.
The armed assailant is described as being between 5’ 2” and 5’ 6” tall with a stocky build, allegedly speaking with a slight accent. No additional information about the type of accent was released.
The investigation is ongoing.
Late Monday afternoon, LPD released a photo of the suspect taken from the store’s video surveillance, hoping that the build, body size and stature will help someone identify the perpetrator.
