LPD arrested man after domestic with children in the house
/A 42-year-old Linton man found himself behind bars Sept. 18 after allegedly throwing a female down and striking her several times.
William Joe Rose was arrested by Linton Police Department Officer Janzen Franklin on a preliminary charge of domestic battery.
The victim told Officer Franklin she Rose went into their bedroom and he threw her down on the bed and hit her with his fist, striking her in the forehead and side of the head. She said Rose then hit her seven or eight times. The victim had visible injuries, which were checked out by ambulance personnel.
The incident took place, according to the victim, while three minor children were in the home.
Rose refused to speak to Officer Franklin and was transported to Greene County Jail. His bond was set at $4,000 surety with 10% cash allowed. He posted $400 and was released later the same day.
Rose is scheduled to appear in Greene Superior Court Sept. 29 where he will formally be charged with domestic battery, a Class A Misdemeanor.
