A Linton woman was arrested last Saturday after deputies reported finding methamphetamine, syringes and other paraphernalia in her home.

Sherry Lynn Hall, 43, Linton, was arrested by Deputy Jordan Allor of the Greene County Sheriff’s Department last Saturday morning following an investigation into a domestic situation that turned into an investigation into drug possession.

Deputy Allor, the investigating officer, and Deputy Jordan Gooding responded to Hall’s residence in Linton around 8:48 a.m. last Saturday after Hall called the sheriff’s department. When they arrived, the other person involved in some type of dispute had left the home.

Then at 10:24 a.m., the two deputies responded again. Dispatch told them the other person involved had returned to Hall’s residence and was allegedly causing problems. This time when they arrived, they talked to Hall who allegedly said she did not want the other individual on the property. They talked to the individual, another woman, who said she wanted to get her clothes and leave. Hall then agreed to let the woman get her belongings.

When the woman was leaving the home, she indicated there were syringes in the home. When Deputy Allor asked Hall about paraphernalia in the home, Hall allegedly said there probably were syringes there because her boyfriend is a drug user. Hall then agreed to a warrantless search of the residence.

Deputy Allor reported the deputies found a substance that field-tested positive as methamphetamine as well as a syringe and other paraphernalia that field-tested positive for the presence of methamphetamine.

Hall was booked into the Greene County Jail early afternoon and initially held without bond pending court appearance.

Hall has been charged with:

• Possession of methamphetamine, a Level 6 felony,

• Unlawful possession of a syringe, a Level 6 felony, and

• Possession of paraphernalia, a Class C misdemeanor.

During her initial hearing in Greene Superior Court, her bond was set at $8,500 surety with ten percent cash allowed.
