A Linton man, arrested last Saturday night and charged with possession of methamphetamine, allegedly admitted to a deputy that he had a little bit in his pocket.

Isaiah Joseph Lee Bolen, 20, Linton, was arrested by Deputy Jordan Allor of the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Saturday night, March 13.

A black 2013 Nissan Altima was pulled over at 8:49 p.m. last Saturday at the intersection of 12th Street NE and Price Road in Linton.

Bolen was a passenger in the vehicle.

During the stop, LPD Officer Joe Riley arrived along with his K9 partner Kona and when Kona sniffed the air around the vehicle, he gave an alert for the presence of a controlled substance in the vehicle.

When the female driver was asked if she had any controlled substances in the vehicle, she mumbled something and looked at Bolen who allegedly admitted he had “a little bit” on him.

When Bolen was asked if he had “a little bit” of marijuana, he said no and the driver said, “It’s methamphetamine.”

A Ziploc bag containing a white crystal substance was found in one of Bolen’s pockets. The substance field-tested positive as methamphetamine.

When asked, the driver said she had last used methamphetamine four or five days prior and Bolen allegedly said he had been using meth for maybe a year.

Bolen was arrested and transported to the Greene County Jail where he was booked in at 10:09 p.m. He was being held without bond pending court appearance.

During his initial hearing in Greene Superior Court on Tuesday afternoon, he was charged with possession of methamphetamine, a Level 6 felony, and his bond was set at $4,000 surety with ten percent cash allowed. He has since posted $400 bond and been released from jail.
