A motorcycle accident around 11 p.m. July 27 on East State Road 445 near the Interstate 69 ramp resulted in the death of a Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department Deputy. 

Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Brenten Trueblood, 25 of Bedford, was pronounced dead July 27 at a Bloomington hospital following a motorcycle accident in Eastern Greene County. 

Greene County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Camron Frye was called to East State Road 445 after a report of a single vehicle accident near the ramp to I-69. According to the accident report, Truebolood was traveling east toward I-69 when the motorcycle left the roadway for an unknown reason and came to rest on the southwest side of State Road 445 and the interstate ramps. 

Trueblood was transported to a Bloomington hospital and according to the accident report later pronounced dead. 

The accident is being investigated by the Greene County Sheriff’s Department and the Indiana State Police. 

Frye was assisted at the scene by Indiana State Police, Greene County Ambulance Service, Eastern Greene Fire Territory, and Monroe Fire Protection District.
