Armed robbery suspect entering the store

An armed man brandished his firearm and demanded money last night at the Country Porch just east of Linton on State Road 54. The Greene County Sheriff’s Department and the Linton Police Department are asking the public to help identify the suspect.

The Linton Police Department issued an appeal for help from the public late last night on their Facebook page. GCSD Detective Shawn Cullison issued another appeal in a press release issued around 11 a.m. this morning.

According to Det. Cullison, the suspect is a man in his early 50s to early 60s with thinning white hair and a white mustache. He was wearing a gray sweatshirt, blue jeans and sunglasses during the incident.

The suspect entered the Country Porch convenience store east of Linton at approximately 7:12 p.m. on Tuesday, February 4.
